I hired Sun Light & Power to install a solar system and battery back-up and was really pleased with the results. From connecting with a salesperson early in the process through every step of getting the system installed to some minor troubleshooting post-install, the team has been super responsive, helpful, considerate, and overall wonderful to work with. From start to finish it was a informative and pleasant experience. The sales person did his best to answer all my questions but he never stepped over the boundaries of making over optimistic predictions to get the sales. When the work began I was a bit worried about my metal roof shingles (they dent/bend easily) but the roofers were professional. Installation went smoothly with the exception of finding Redwood Shingles under the metal shingles. After the system was installed I was pleasantly surprised by my savings. The biggest savings was getting me off PG&E's tier 5 gross electrical user charges. One of my power converters stopped working, Sunlight & Power came out and found a faulty converter. Sunlight & Power called the manufacturer of the converter, long story short I received a new converter. I love my solar system and I will continue to swear by Sunlight & Power's service and professional staff. Thank you Gary M. Stewart

A1 SUN WAS FANTASTIC. We have done many projects on our house, from small repairs, to a full kitchen remodel, and the experience we had with A1 Sun was the best by far. The entire process, from the initial estimate, to the final inspection were smooth. One of the biggest downfalls of any house project (in my experience) is communication. Not so with A1 Sun. We knew exactly what was going to happen, when it would happen, and who would be at our house. On top of it all, our system was installed and running BEFORE the original install date. When has that ever happened? Another important consideration - we used a local, well established company, so our money supports our community, not a large retail brand. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A SOLAR ENERGY INSTALLATION, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY CONTACT A1 SUN.

Sun Light and Power removed our existing ten-year old solar array so we could re-roof our house. It designed a new solar system is producing 3 times as much output. They were willing to work with our existing batteries, our steep roof, and poor weather conditions. They did the paperwork with PG and E and the City of Berkeley. The entire process was smooth from our perspective -- it took less than 3 months in the middle of winter. The new system will repay itself in six years, so while it wasn't cheap, the investment's return is favorable in comparison to our Fidelity portfolio's, and we won't be paying PG and E their exorbitant charges, which seem to escalate on an almost daily basis.

The work with Sun Light & Power, which consisted solar panels and battery installation, sent quite well.Everything was done in a timely and professional manner. My roof is farily steep so it's tricky but they navigated it with no problem. I would't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of solar panels.

Very friendly sales team and the project was managed well and delivered on time. We've been very happy with the result - our system is product at or above expected capacity. We chose SL&P because they are a local company and we didn't get the usual sales pitch. They were up front about costs, didn't try to hide things through financing deals, and the installation was done very cleanly. Would definitely recommend vs. one of the national chains.
