Braden was knowledgeable, friendly and able to answer all questions we had. We requested additional estimates changing the amount of panels and he was able to send us the new estimate within an hour. His responses were always fast and backed up with diagrams.

We had had a few estimates from multiple solar companies. We went with Sun First because when Braden came out he was so knowledgeable and had done his research on our house. No other company had the panels placed where he did for the maximum sun exposure. The team at Sun First, worked with our roofing company to do the new roof and solar install together. Within a month of the estimate we had them installing the panels and they were up and running immediately. We are so happy with our solar and had an amazing experience!!

Very professional and informed! Service and the quality of the installation was top-notch. I was in the industry for 7 years, and SunFirst has always been a strong company with years of experience and integrity. Many local solar companies (like ours) have come and gone, but SunFirst has remained steadfast. It's important to go with a local installer with a good reputation! Braden walked us through the net metering labyrinth at PG&E, and provided practical options for storage. He wasn't trying to sell us, but rather inform us.

Sun First was outstanding with my solar system installation which included 2 Tesla batteries. The crew worked efficiently installing 21 panels and exterior conduit with great workmanship and teamwork. Courteous and responsive to a few special requests.
Armando and Jose followed up with the batteries, control panels, internal wiring and operating instructions. Their quality of work was excellent and their skills matched. A fairly complex configuration which required extraordinary physical efforts from Jose to access various crawl space locations. Armando's skills in electrical, plumbing, construction and solar engineering knowledge backed up by Jose instilled in me a high degree of confidence that the work is of the highest quality.
Braden did a thorough and detailed presentation. Breelyn, Rey and Kim provided courteous and responsive office support.

Sun First Solar have been very responsive and efficient to work with. They worked fast to get our contract in before the NEM3.0 deadline in 2023. They interfaced very well with the roofing company to remove old panels, and install the new panels after the new roof was installed. They have also interfaced very well with the electrical contractor as our main panel was being replaced and there was a new set of conduits/gutters to interface to.
They also worked with the fire department to have our installation approved so that setbacks and skylight clearances were negotiated and approved to give us the maximum installation area.
Aran and his team have helped me to understand some of the other choices and tradeoffs regarding batteries, and implemented the equipment to make it easy to add additional equipment later as I assess my needs.
Overall, I would certainly recommend them.

Once we met with Kurtis and he explained everything to us, it was a no-brainer to go with the panels. It’s been over a year now and we are so happy. Because Kurtis was able to calculate the proper number of panels for us we did not get a true-up bill in January, we actually got a small credit. I recommend Sun First Solar to everyone all the time, I tell them to at least talk to Kurtis.

From the start to finish, this company is a class act! The initial contact with the rep, Kurtis, was educational, interesting, and fun. He answered every question, knew the product completely, made sure the placement was perfect for our house, and kept in contact while waiting for the installation. During installation, the installers were fast, efficient, very neat, and patient with explaining how the Walls and the internet info worked together. When I had questions about the process, I always got the answer quickly from the office, and once (believe it or not) the CEO even called to give me a detailed answer to a question. It's been several years, and the Walls are fabulous--we don't even know that there have been blackouts because they kick in immediately. Best idea we ever had!!
Kurtis is the nicest and most knowledgeable solar professional we've ever met. Knows the business thoroughly and was able to advise on all the technical and financial benefits of the Power Walls. He was very attentive to our concerns and questions, and was quick to respond on any new question that arose. Excellent, flawless service in every way!

About a month before I met Braden, I had a sales presentation experience with another large solar system sales/installation company. The rep as it turned out, was an independent contractor who fast-talked me into signing docs that looked like a contract to me, but he claimed was not indeed a contract. I exercised my cancellation right within 24 hours and vowed not to work with a large company, based in another state. Braden came in to my living room, first asked what I had in mind, then explained the strengths and weaknesses of my inexperienced plan. We worked through the reality of achieving my goals and the cost of doing so the right way. Additionally I had no expectation of taking advantage of the NEM 2 program as it was ending within two weeks and I knew there were many many potential buyers pushing to get PG&E approval before the onset of NEM 3. Braden’s team at Sun First somehow managed to get me approval for the expiring program even before I was able to get the downpayment for the project to them. I felt that this company was really trying to help me be successful for the long run.

Three part project: New roof, main electrical distribution box upgrade, solar collection/storage. Three contractors working and communicating together to provide excellent, coordinated service. Sun First was timely working within the availability of the other two contractors who needed to do their parts first. They provided very professional installers who worked efficiently, courteously, and left me with very good information on how to maximize savings with my new system. I am approaching 1 year since installation and am very pleased with the way the system has worked through grid outages and especially through the difficult months of December - March when sun time is at it’s lowest for this location.

My experience with Sun First was easy and seamless. I worked with Braden and he was helpful, honest, and very transparent about the whole process from start to finish. One of the installers accidentally misplaced a box, but they came back out within a day to fix it. Great customer service and I'd highly recommend.
