Well, that was cool! We recently moved and wanted to replace all the light bulbs in the house with LEDs. I noticed Pioneer’s GreenLite program at the local hardware store on Main Street in Placerville and was able to buy four bulbs for about $1! I wasn’t sure if we were opted into Pioneer at our new house, but it didn’t matter if we were or weren’t. Pretty cool!

My Pioneer charges are the same as my PG&E charges. My bill was $750 because of Pioneer MATCHING my bill all summer. They’re just as crooked as PG&E and I hope they all stub their toe on the way to the bathroom at 3 am.

My call with Pioneer Community Energy rep (Kelly N) was very productive. I came out of the call, with much more information about the GridGen program than I intended to understand/ask about. Kelly was very patient, funny, and importantly - very knowledgeable. I would recommend GridGen program to everyone that likes to avoid wastage, save on their own hard-earned money, and get a quality solar system installed for free! Cheers

I had the opportunity to speak with a concerned employee at Pioneer Community Energy today. Kelly was willing to really listen to my concerns and act in my behalf. Not only did she take care of my concerns but she did it happily and expeditiously. Kelly should be promoted and identified as the model employee. Thank Kelly even though the process continues toward conclusion, I am extremely excited that she actually followed through and responded back to me. Something that hasn’t happened since I started asking about this last year. Hopefully they will audit my account for the last two years, because last year I was asking for the 2022 audit. Again Thank You Kelly.

Didn't know much about Pioneer but decided to stay opted in and give it a try. After spending some time comparing the rates, I realized Pioneer is a bit less expensive for me than PG&E.

Seeing that they reduced their rates for the summer was confirmation that Pioneer cares about saving their customers money. That and their Tuesday Savings Tip series on Facebook/Instagram -- very helpful!

So many uninformed viewpoints posted here as reviews. Pioneer CCA generation rates have saved me money each-and-every month for the past year compared to what the same amount of generation energy would have cost from PG&E. I do not have solar. I appreciate Pioneers' $75 A/C tune-up reimbursement offer which I easily submitted yesterday. I am rating 4 out of 5 stars because I want to wait-and-see if Pioneers' electricity procurement strategy saves me money long term.

I opted out of this Dec and was told I wouldn't see there charges after the next billing cycle. Pioneer energy has continued to add there charges for the next four months now. Customer service is absolutely horrible! They ignored the fact I opted out and continue to bill me. They have completely reversed my investment in solar. They claim their rates are cheaper. Not the case. Their charges are way more than what I paid before solar and batteries.
